At Sails & Spools we create timeless & classic needlepoint canvases for you to stitch and enjoy for generations. After setting sail in June of 2024 with just two hand-painted designs, Sails & Spools has continued to grow ever since, now with a collection of over 60 beautiful, thoughtful, and colorful designs. We've even expanded to carry accessories, thread, and more so that you can find everything you need to stitch something you love. We hope you are enjoying the journey with us! 

I began stitching at a very young age, starting primarily with counted cross stitch. While I absolutely love the details, number of colors, and complexity of counted cross stitch, there's nothing quite like the mindlessness of stitching with a painted needlepoint canvas (and not having to count every single stitch from a pattern!). I still pick up a cross stitch pattern now and again but, for the most part, I'm all-in on needlepoint. I love designing and creating that "just-perfect" canvas that can become a cherished memory on your Christmas tree, brighten up and personalize your sofa, add a little ruffle to that empty hook on the wall, become the perfect colorful catch-all for your coffee table, or add that little extra to your favorite outfit.

Sails & Spools is not my full-time job- though it is quickly becoming that! I also teach high school special education in Connecticut and, I'm certainly not without other hobbies- my other interests include visiting Disney parks, reading, cornflower blue, tennis, pickleball, leading on my church's worship team, visiting National Parks & MLB stadiums, and camping. I also love tending to my sourdough starter and dabbling in a long list of other crafts such as crochet, quilting, beading, and watercolor. 

In March of 2024, I married my best friend and biggest supporter, Holden. If you've ever ordered from us, chances are that Holden created the shipping label for your package and ensured it was picked up by the post office! Together we enjoy visiting Disney parks, going out for ice cream, and working our way through visiting every National Park and MLB stadium. We also (sometimes!) enjoy the highs and lows of maintaining our Revolutionary War Era Connecticut home together- the home of Sails & Spools. We are excited to continue to see Sails & Spools grow both inside and outside the walls of our home, and take you along for the journey!
